All WDI programs provide health and wellness information in plain language and alternative formats. We serve people with disabilities, family members, caregivers, healthcare workers and educators.
The Wellness and Disability Initiative (WDI) offers health and wellness information for Canadians with disabilities through our web site, Resource Centre and telephone/fax service.
This program is the cornerstone of WDI. Introduced by the BCCPD in 1988, ADAP continues to collect and create HIV and AIDS prevention material in accessible formats for people with disabilities, caregivers and health professionals.
The HEAL (Health Education, Advocacy and Leadership) framework is a new cross-disability, self-advocacy approach developed by the BCCPD.
